NU THINKING

NU Thinking is a programme delivered by Northumbria Sport in partnership with Student Support & Wellbeing with a focus to support the health and wellbeing of students at ֲýƵ who are experiencing, or at risk of, stress, anxiety, and other mental health issues.

We have achieved so much for our students and the communities in which we work but we have much more to do. With your support, we can continue to make a lasting difference to peoples’ lives; enable research opportunities to create and apply knowledge in sport performance, health and wellbeing; offer sport scholarships and provide specialist equipment and technology to improve participation.

NU Thinking offers students referred by Student Support & Wellbeing the opportunity to take part in a range of free activities.

This includes a 10 week exercise programme, participation sports clubs or volunteer development through The Northumbria Sport Student Workforce Development Programme, with a focus on improving skills, knowledge and confidence to volunteer and work in sport.
