Dr Rashid Javed

Rashid Javed holds a from the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour, France. He has previously served at Éklore-Ed School of Management and the University of Westminster, Tashkent Campus.

His research lies in the fields of Development Economics and Demographic Economics. His current work focuses on the interactions between socioeconomic and demographic factors, including son preference, delayed fertility decisions, gender bias in child human capital, marriage patterns, and women’s participation in household decision-making.

He has presented his research at major international conferences, including the American Economic Association Conference (AEA), the Canadian Economic Association Conference (CEA), the French Economic Association Conference (AFSE), the European Society for Population Economics Conference (ESPE), the British Society for Population Studies Conference (BSPS), the Nordic Conference on Development Economics (NCDE), and the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population Conference (IUSSP). His research has also been featured in national media, including , as well as in academic blogs and magazines such as the blogs, the magazine, and the .

He is a Fellow of the , an Associate Researcher at , and a Fellow of (formerly the Higher Education Academy).
