Emma Hardman-Dunn Film Screening and Discussion

Thursday 30th April 5pm-6.30pm

Studio 27, Squires Building, ֲýƵ

Rock, moss and pebbles

Within my transdisciplinary practice research as a dancer, choreographer, facilitator and film maker I have created three twenty- minute films as part of my PhD thesis. Using film to share the non-verbal unspoken, language, of felt senses and kinaesthetic interactions with self, others and natural places. I have created a sound score for the films of bird sounds, recorded in place. My research is about connections moving and interacting dependently and research includes working with differently abled participants those who are known as having Profound and multiple learning disabilities, one participant is deafblind. My interest in understanding how to create film based on these daily interactions with others and with complete subjectivity. The films move through atmospheres of time, kinaesthetic memory and differences. And a visceral connection to what is there.
