Why did you choose ֲýƵ, Newcastle?

Excellent degree programme for future career allowing for a broad spectrum of application.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

Lots of things to do in the region, despite the terrible weather.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

The amount of development in the city has surprised me, I'm most impressed by the nightlife.

Did you find ֲýƵ welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Northumbria was very welcoming and it was easy to fit in despite coming from a different route to most students.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to ֲýƵ?

The lectures have been extremely engaging.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

All of the lecturers and seminar leaders have been very accommodating when I have been unable to attend their timetabled session.

Who has inspired you most at ֲýƵ?

Christopher Rogers, turned a potentially lack lustre module into a deeply engaging and thought provoking one.

What is your favourite place on campus?

The Law building

What is the best thing about your course?

The level of engagement and the broad range of topics covered.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Contract law - helped a lot in a mobile phone contract dispute.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I want to avoid working at a desk for as long as possible! Critical thinking has been a major part of the course which is invaluable in any career.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Attend everything!

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at ֲýƵ, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I have increased confidence in my intellectual ability. I have become much less confrontational and am much more open to new concepts and ideas.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Inspiring, engaging and fun!

Would you recommend ֲýƵ to a friend?

Yes, absolutely!
