School: Psychology

Dr James Newham completed his PhD at the University of Manchester (2012), which examined interventions to reduce anaxiety in pregnancy. Prior to this he had completed his MPhil Neuroscience at the Newcastle University, which examined the effects of psychotropic medication in pregnancy. James Newham

My research interests centre on mental health determinants and behaviour change interventions in families, infants, young people, and vulnerable groups; with the central theme being preventative public health solutions for poor mental health. More recently my research has focused on areas of digital innovation and implementation science.
