Adam Jackson

Head of School

School: Northumbria School of Law

Adam is an Associate Professor and current Head of Northumbria Law School. Adam teaches and researches in the field of criminal law, criminal procedure and evidence and has published widely in these fields. Adam's particular research specialisms are expert evidence in criminal proceedings, digital evidence and the policing of digital environments. He has a proven track record of engagment with large, cross jurisdiction funded research projects in the field of criminal justice and a broad professional network in this field. 

Adam is a convenor of the Policing in the Digital Society research network, a European network of scholars and practitioners exploring the changing nature of policing in the digital society.

Adam was called to the Bar in 2005 (Barrister, non-practising) and has been a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) since 2009 and Case Note Editor of the Journal of Criminal Law (SAGE Publishing) since 2012.
