Northumbria’s nursing programmes are ranked among the top 15 in the UK*. They are at the forefront of current knowledge and practice and are shaped by world-leading and internationally excellent research.

In training to become a health professional, students spend a substantial part of their studies in our state-of-the-art Clinical Skills Centre. The Centre is the focal point for our health students’ educational journey. Devoted to excellence in health related professions, it is a place where our students can develop practical skills and gain valuable experience of real hospital situations in simulated situations.

Northumbria offers pre- and post-registration nursing programmes as well as Continuing Professional Development.

Pre-registration programmes are offered in Adult, Child, Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Nursing and Operating Department Practice, Occupational Therapy, Midwifery and Physiotherapy.

Post-Registration programmes are offered via a full range of Continuing Professional Development Programmes which cover subjects including dementia, diabetes, nurse prescribing, palliative care, critical care and many more. Click here for full details of our CPD offer.

Non-registration degree programmes include:

• BSc (Hons) Nursing Science – a one year completion degree  for Registered Nurses
• MSc Nursing and MSc Nursing Leadership
• MSc Health Sciences (Management)
• MPH – Masters in Public Health
